Volunteer FAQs

Why serve?

At Harvest, we believe serving is one of the best ways to live out our love for God and love for people. God has given every believer unique gifts, and when we use them together, we grow in relationships, shine the light of Jesus in our communities, and experience a deeper walk with Him. Serving isn’t just about helping others. It's also about letting God shape us as we follow His leading.

What are the requirements?

We want to make serving accessible and meaningful. Here’s what we ask: Regularly attend Harvest. Have a heart to serve God and help others. Complete a background check for certain roles (like Children’s Ministry).

How do I get started?

Getting involved is simple! Start by taking our online spiritual gifts survey. Meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to talk through your gifts, availability, and areas of interest. From there, you’ll be connected with ministry leaders, have the chance to shadow, receive training, and jump into serving!Already know someone who’s serving? Ask if you can tag along. It’s a great way to see what it’s like firsthand.

Have questions?

We’d love to talk with you! Our Volunteer Coordinator is here to help answer your questions, explain opportunities, and guide you to a place where you can serve with joy.

We love to clarify volunteering requirements. Please reach out with your questions.
